The International Press Institute (IPI), the global network of editors, journalists and media executives for independent media, announces that Jacqui Park is leaving its senior management team.
As the Head of Network Strategy and Innovation, Jacqui conducted important research and worked to strengthen the IPI network and support independent media as they meet the moment of the digital transition and the challenge of authoritarianism.
Together with the IPI team she built the ongoing program for IPI’s dedicated media innovation work, which is now well-placed to continue and grow. As part of the IPI management team, she redesigned the approach to IPI’s World Congress and was key in organising the past four congresses including, at this year’s Congress, the launch of the Media Innovation Festival in Vienna.
IPI’s Executive Director Frane Maroević said: “Jacqui’s extensive work on press freedom and independent journalism over the years, brought to IPI an important network of independent journalists and media. She is a natural networker and contributed to conceptualising and implementing IPI’s responses to the complex threats the media faces today. I extend my best wishes to her for continued success in her future pursuits.”
